I love calendars.
Every year, I searched for the perfect one. I tried every version you can imagine: wall-hanging calendars, apps, desk calendars, big ones, small ones… but something always felt off, and I would eventually stop using them.
So I thought, why not create my own? And it worked perfectly for me (No surprise there, I designed it exactly the way I wanted!)
When I shared it with my husband, he said, “You should put this out as a new product,” and he even came up with the name Perfect Simple Calendar because he had seen how much I loved using it after my long journey of trying so many different options.
I know it’s perfect for me, but it might not be for everyone. So here are a few reasons why I love it, and a little sneak peek to help you see if it might be right for you, too.
The Main Purpose: Weekly Goals
This is most important. I wanted a calendar that helped me set weekly goals at a glance. To serve this purpose, I designed a specific section on the left side for writing weekly goals so I could see my progress clearly each week. so it’s kind like my personal deadlines that I can see at one glance for the week and month.
Date-Free Design
Another issue I had: I didn’t like wasting calendars for the months I missed. If I skipped a few months, those pages felt wasted, and I’d end up throwing the whole thing away.
So I created a date-free calendar: no fixed year, no waste, and no guilt. You can pick it up anytime you want and keep going.
I know this might not be an issue for everyone, but my lifelong tendency to be frugal made it hard for me to ignore unused pages .
Minimal Yet Colorful
I love minimal design, but I also love using different colors (which might explain why I collect so many inks ). So I designed each month in a different color while keeping the layout as minimal and functional as possible.
But if you prefer to save ink when printing, there’s also a black-and-white version available.
How I Use It in the Binder
Here’s how I use it, though you can use it however you like: hang it on the wall, attach it somewhere visible, or keep it in a planner.
I personally keep the calendar in my A5 binder with my 5-Part Journal so I can review my weekly goals and track my progress every night before bed.
